3-day tour of Mathura and Agra would allow you to explore two of the most important cities in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Mathura is considered one of the seven most sacred cities in Hinduism, and is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The city is home to a number of ancient temples, such as the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple and much more
Agra, on the other hand, is famous for the Taj Mahal, one of the most iconic and beautiful buildings in the world. The white marble mausoleum is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-see for any traveler visiting India. In addition to the Taj Mahal, you can also visit the Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site.
Itinerary
Duration: 3 days & 2 nights
Day 1 Delhi - Mathura - Vrindavan
Departure from Delhi in the morning. The drive from Delhi to Mathura is about 150 kilometers and takes around 2-3 hours by car. Arrive in Mathura and check into your hotel • Visit the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, which is said to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna
• Visit the ISKCON Mathura-Vrindavan temple, one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world
• Visit the Dwarkadheesh temple, one of the most famous temples in Mathura
• In the evening, attend the aarti ceremony at the Vishram Ghat
Day 2 Mathura - Agra
• Start the day early and drive to Agra
• Visit the Taj Mahal, one of the most famous and beautiful buildings in the world
• Visit the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site
• Visit the Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, a mughal mausoleum also known as Baby Taj
• In the evening, you can attend sound and light show in Agra Fort
Day 3 Agra - Delhi
• Visit the Dayal Bagh Temple, a large temple complex that is still under construction Note : Please note that this is just a sample itinerary, and you can adjust it to suit your interests and preferences. Also, If you want to visit fatehpur sikri it will require an extra day.
• Visit the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India
• Visit the Ram Bagh, a large garden that is home to a palace and a museum. in the evening and return to Delhi.
• In the evening, do shopping in local markets, explore street food before drive back to your home or next destination
